Based in Caerphilly, I photograph weddings throughout South Wales, including Cardiff, Newport, the Vale of Glamorgan, Brecon and the surrounding areas. My approach is relaxed, natural and unobtrusive, capturing the real moments, laughter and emotion of your wedding day without constantly asking you to pose for photographs.
A Relaxed Approach to Your Wedding Day
Your wedding day should be about enjoying time with the people who matter to you — not spending hours being directed from one photograph to the next.
I work quietly and unobtrusively, watching for the natural moments happening throughout the day. The laughter between friends, a parent's reaction during the ceremony, children being children and all those little interactions that you may not even notice at the time.
Of course, I'm always happy to gently organise a few family photographs, a confetti shot and some relaxed photographs of the two of you when they're wanted. But for most of the day, I simply want you and your guests to forget about the camera and enjoy yourselves.
Over 40 Years Behind the Camera
I've been involved in photography for more than 40 years, and during that time I've learned that great wedding photography isn't about constantly directing people or creating complicated poses.
It's about knowing where to be, recognising when something is about to happen and being ready to capture it. Weddings move quickly, and some of the most meaningful photographs can happen in just a fraction of a second.
That experience also means I'm comfortable working with people of all ages and personalities. Whether you're confident in front of the camera or would rather forget it's there completely, I'll help keep things relaxed and straightforward.
From Intimate Ceremonies to Longer Wedding Days
Not every couple wants or needs a photographer for the whole day. Some of my favourite weddings have been smaller, more intimate celebrations where the focus is simply on the ceremony, family and friends.
I offer shorter ceremony wedding photography as well as longer coverage, so you can choose the amount of photography that suits your wedding rather than fitting your day around a traditional package.
Whether you're planning a small registry office ceremony, an intimate wedding with your closest family and friends, or a longer celebration, the approach remains the same — relaxed, natural photography that tells the story of your day without taking you away from it.

How far do you travel for weddings in South Wales?
I'm based in Caerphilly and typically photograph weddings within around 50 miles, covering Cardiff, Newport, the Vale of Glamorgan, Brecon and many surrounding areas. If your wedding is a little further away, please get in touch, and I'll happily check the location.
Do you photograph small and ceremony-only weddings?
Yes. Ceremony and smaller weddings are a big part of what I do. You don't necessarily need a photographer for the entire day, so I offer shorter coverage as well as longer wedding photography options.
We don't like posing. Is that a problem?
Not at all — you're probably exactly the sort of couple I enjoy photographing! My style is relaxed and natural, with very little posing. I'll gently guide you when needed for family photographs, confetti or a few couple photographs, but otherwise I let the day unfold naturally.
How quickly will we receive our wedding photographs?
Your professionally edited wedding photographs are normally delivered through your private online gallery within 14 days or less.
How do we check if you're available for our wedding?
Simply send me your wedding date, venue and a little information about your plans. I'll confirm availability and recommend the coverage that best suits your day.
